Job Summary:
Reporting to the Director of the Youth Assembly & Strategic Youth Initiatives, the Youth Assembly Alumni Coordinator will engage a diverse community of 20,000 alumni of the AFS Youth Assembly. The role involves developing strategies for alumni engagement, conducting global youth outreach, and coordinating activities to foster social impact.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Develop strategies to cultivate a vibrant community of young leaders within the AFS Youth Assembly Network.
• Maintain ongoing engagement with youth delegates post-event, focusing on local action and impact.
• Coordinate the AFS Youth Assembly action and impact program, with a focus on measuring impact.
• Identify partnerships to provide exceptional opportunities for alumni involvement in social action and sustainable development initiatives.
• Assist in developing opportunities for Youth Assembly delegates during the event.
• Explore innovative ways to enrich the alumni experience using sound research and analysis.
• Develop the annual network impact report.

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 3-5 years of experience, preferably in community/alumni engagement.
• Strong understanding of global issues and UN Sustainable Development Goals.
• Proficiency in managing social media and hosting virtual meetings.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills in an international setting.
• Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
• Proficiency in technical tools like WordPress, MailChimp, and Google suite.
• Ability to travel to the US for events at least twice a year.

Annual Consulting Fee:
Up to $40,000 USD, depending on experience and location. This is a consulting role; benefits are not included.
